Job Summary
The Content Operations Team is looking for an experienced pro-active individual to support a fast-paced growing content distribution company. With this position comes the requirement of how studio programming is handled and distributed for the linear and On Demand content industries. Responsibilities will be to manage, coordinate and monitor the traffic of the programming that is delivered to our affiliates. There will be a high level of professional communications and organizational skills required for this position with particular attention being paid to accuracy information, delivery timelines and customer service; attention to detail, creative enthusiasm for always wanting to make things more streamlined and efficient is a must.
Major Activities To Ensure Achievement of Key Results and Deliverables
- Generate and review the monthly programming schedules
- Manage getting internal approvals for each monthly schedule
- Generate and submit purchase orders to vendors for services for encoding, transport and masters
- Work with vendors to insure schedules and deliverables are established
- Participate in the ongoing relationship with key affiliates
- Work with the internal content scheduling personnel to generate, review and order content for the recurring content schedules
- Communicate and work with master duplications, production and delivery vendors to insure the timely delivery:
- Content Masters
- Encoded Content
- Prepared content packages to our affiliates which includes content, metadata, and artwork
Your Qualifications
| Knowledge, Skills, and Experience |
- Experienced in the entertainment industry in regards to content trafficking
- 5+ years' of experience working in highly collaborative team environment required
- Minimum 2 year degree in Business or equivalent
- Must be bilingual in Spanish
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage a heavy daily workload required
- Demonstrated work history in a very detail-oriented environment required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Operations work experience within Cable Television industry preferred
- Understanding of Digital Media Delivery, as well as Video On Demand and Linear content distribution workflows a plus
- CableLabs VOD metadata knowledge is a plus
- Technical understanding of how the content is handled, prepared and delivered is a definite benefit for this position
