Job Summary
The Director, Sales Engineering is responsible for being the technical support for Sales, both in direct and channel-sales efforts. This individual will be a support team both on the phone and via on-site meetings as required. This individual will be traveling 50% of the time and can be located in any state and work from home.
Major Activities To Ensure Achievement of Key Results and Deliverables
- Technical support for sales team via email, calls, and on-site visits
- Review and approve sales proposals including all technical aspects of proposal
- Creation of Requirements Documents for each project technical aspects of opportunity
- Technical advocate for the affiliate with internal teams throughout launch process
Additional Responsibilities:
- BOM (Bill of Materials) development for each project
- Sales proposal development and RFP response support
- Programmer technical approval process
- Work product team to roll out and implement new products and services
Your Qualifications
- 10 years' of technical experience in video/ IP video industry
- College degree in engineering or computer science (MS is preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills (writing sample required)
- Understanding of linear video compression, encryption, delivery systems
- Understanding of VOD compression, distribution, and delivery systems
- Understanding of satellite communications and compression and key technologies
