The Avail-TVN Production Services Paid Internship Program requires a commitment of 20 hours per week with flexible hours between Monday-Friday; 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. based out of our Burbank office, with occasional trips to our Sherman Oaks location. The program coincides with the semester and lasts 10-14 weeks.

Interns learn about production services, affiliate operations, content operations, network operations, quality assurance, digital content management, programming, scheduling, metadata, encoding, and satellite transmission in a fast-paced and unique organization. Interns will assist with all day-to-day tasks related to the assigned department while being exposed to all operational functions required to run the largest digital media services company in North America. Successful candidates must be self-starters, have excellent communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and be eager to take on multiple projects. A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially in Excel and Access is helpful. Junior and Senior level candidates with previous work experience are preferred but exceptions will be made if other candidates are otherwise adequately qualified.

Major Activities To Ensure Achievement of Key Results and Deliverables

• Support Production Services with day-to-day deliverables, including but not limited to assisting with slate creation, tape trafficking, gathering elements from websites, scheduling, content placement, degaussing, delivery, updates, and general office tasks
• Work within Production Services to process operational requests and support day-to-day tasks
• Collection, organize, and analyze various media necessary to complete production
• Answer calls, emails, and interact with Affiliates, Content Providers, and intra-Company customers as needed
• Assist with planning and execution of special projects within the assigned department and across multiple departments
• Create time lines and support timely roll-outs of new customers, processes, and projects
• Participate in internal and external business meetings and conference calls
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by department head
• Support Affiliates' and Content Providers' needs and requirements as well as Avail-TVN's contractual obligations and strategic initiatives relating to all facets of content ingestion, delivery, and the overall end-user experience

• Junior or Senior standing in a 4-year college
• Interest in production
• Previous work experience in a similar industry is preferred
• Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Access, and Outlook
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
