Job Summary

The Affiliate Operations department is responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the relationship between the company and its affiliate customers.

Affiliate Relations Managers (ARMs) are responsible for the active management of the affiliate relationship, as well as the management of various internal systems and interdepartmental relationships for the mutual benefit of the company and its affiliate customers. An Affiliate Relations Manager (ARM) serves as the primary point of day to day contact with a number of assigned affiliates, large and small.

Major Activities To Ensure Achievement of Key Results and Deliverables

  • Maintaining persistent and clear lines of communication with the affiliate during and after deployment
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders in Content Operations, Content Authorizations, Network Operations, Sales, Marketing and Programming on the affiliate's behalf and in support of the organization's goals
  • Serve as the affiliate's advocate within the organization, escalating points of concern
  • Identify operational improvements and opportunities for efficiency maximization

Additional Responsibilities

  • Operational management and daily workings in multiple proprietary company systems in order to process:
    • Monthly menu updates
    • Package adds/deletes/updates
    • New installs
    • Deployment of new services
    • Monthly promotions
    • Menu restructures
    • Special affiliate requests
    • Metadata updates (MDU's)
    • Special projects
  • Persistent, high touch contact with assigned affiliates
    • Host and manage regular calls with affiliates
    • End to end responsibility for upsell and mapping for all non-transactional assets
    • End to end responsibility for upsell and mapping for all stunts and promotions
    • Validate all mapping and transforms for transactional and hybrid content
    • Trouble shooting touch point for issues with pitched assets
    • Affiliate trainings on available tools
  • Liaise with parallel departments on a host of issues
    • Content Operations
    • Content Authorizations
    • Sales
    • Marketing
    • Network Operations
    • Programming

Your Qualifications

  • 4 year college degree
  • 3+ years of experience working in highly collaborative team environment
  • 3+ years of experience customer service or account management
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage a daily workload in a very detail-oriented environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Operations work experience within Cable Television industry preferred
  • Understanding of Digital Media Delivery, as well as Video On Demand and Linear content distribution workflows a plus
  • Cable Labs VOD metadata knowledge is a plus
  • Bilingual-Spanish and English
