Job Summary
Support the Sales function by applying expert knowledge, skills & abilities in the fields of IPTV, satellite and terrestrial technologies to provide timely, innovative, cost effective and efficient support of IPTV solutions for prospective customers using the Avail-TVN systems. Also provide scenarios and alternative options to meet customer requirements, interfacing with groups within Avail-TVN to secure contractual agreements with customers in the Tier 3/4 Telco, Tier IITelco, Cable, FTTH & MDU verticals. And also provide support for on-goingservices and situations that may affect customers.
Summary of essential job functions
- Deliver revenue from linear, VOD and PPV offerings
- Provide complete solutions, including options, which are responsive, timely and innovative and often complex or very large scale solutions for media & entertainment requirements of Avail-TVN prospective customers.
- Evaluate innovative technical options, including comprehensive cost/benefit, equipment selection, and evaluation and configuration of various potential complex technical solutions, thereby selecting the best option for the proposed customer.
- Assist in the creation of responses for RFPs and RFIs as required for large scale or multi part proposals.
- Generate and manage Sales leads with prospective customers
- Attend trade shows and conferences related to IPTV, acting as a public advocate for Avail-TVN
- Lead meetings with customers, demonstrating expert knowledge and understanding of customer requirements
- Lead and manage contract negotiations with customers, including contract revisions through to contract finalization
- Meet agreed-upon, annual sales targets, as directed by SVP of Sales
- Work closely with Product Development to drive innovations and technical developments which change products and services offered and supported by Avail-TVN.
- Work with Marketing to develop or enhance products or new service offerings, incorporating experience gained from the use of products and services and knowledge of competitor's offerings
Key tasks and processes overseen
- Manage sales pipeline via CRM reporting tools
- Current working knowledge of satellite, fiber, broadcast and IPTV-related equipment
- Current working knowledge of audio, video, and digital broadcast service systems
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
- The ability to convey complex technical issues equally to technical, operational staff, and non-technical individuals
- Excellent organizational, multi tasking, prioritization, and teamwork skills
- Maintain a broad knowledge of all products, systems, services, and company procedures
- Expert knowledge of IPTV, media, and entertainment technologies, with several years of practical experience on the job
- Expert technical and commercial analytical skills, and flexibility to develop alternative scenarios
- Excellent customer service skills, even under pressure directly from customers or sales to provide solutions
- Excellent business writing skills
Your Qualifications
- 4 year college Degree
- 5-7 years' experience Proven Sales experience in Telco / cable market
