Linear Transport and Affiliate Rights
Avail-TVN's content division will assist you in developing a customized, tailor-made, and competitive channel line-up to appeal to your subscriber base and suit the demographics of your market. Once you decide which channels you want to include, you will need to clear both transport and affiliate rights in order to distribute those channels to your subscribers. To this end, you can leverage Avail-TVN's transport rights, and we will navigate you through the process of obtaining the necessary transport consent authorizations from each of the programming networks. At the same time, Avail-TVN has partnered with a variety of Affiliate Consortia, through which you have a number of options for obtaining the affiliate rights you need to commercially launch your IPTV service. Avail-TVN's long-term relationships with the leading programming networks enable you to develop valuable partnerships with major content providers, such as ABC-Disney, MTV Networks, NBC Universal, Turner Networks, and many more.
Programming Sources
NCTC is a not-for-profit, member-operated purchasing organization that negotiates and administers master affiliation agreements with cable television programming networks, cable hardware and equipment manufacturers, and other service providers on behalf of its member companies. Avail-TVN affiliates that are NCTC members in good standing may obtain affiliate rights for any and all channels for which the NCTC has obtained the appropriate rights from the networks. The National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) holds distribution rights to nearly all of the channels transported by Avail-TVN. NRTC has advised Avail-TVN that it will sub-license such rights to Avail-TVN affiliates provided that such affiliates qualify for membership in the NRTC and meet any programmers' requirements. Such sub-license would be directly between the NRTC and the Avail-TVN affiliate.
