TVN Entertainment Strikes Oscar Gold With VOD Lineup

Eight Academy Award Winning and Nominated Films Arrive on VOD

Los Angeles, California, April 22, 2009 - TVN Entertainment Corporation, the world’s leading television on-demand company, today announced that it will release eight 2009 Academy Award winning and nominated films on VOD starting April 21st through the beginning of June 2009.

“With availability to more than 48 million households in North America and usage on a per-household basis growing every day, VOD is becoming an increasingly central part of every studio’s distribution strategy,” said Doug Sylvester, President and COO of TVN.

Consumers are embracing VOD because of the convenience it offers, great value and the opportunity of holding fun VOD viewing party with friends and family. In addition, a recent Parks Associates consumer spending study found that instead of purchasing DVDs, consumers are moving to VOD.

“For household services such as the Internet and pay TV, recessionary concerns have less impact,” said Kurt Scherf, Principal analyst of Parks. “Consumers are more likely to cut back on outside entertainment expenses before trimming household services such as home telephone, pay TV and the Internet.” TVN already released Australia and Milk on the same date as the DVD release, as well as Frozen River on VOD in March 2009 during Oscar season.
