TVN Entertainment To Launch “Event TV HD” With Dream Match ‘De La Hoya Vs Pacquiao’
New Service Will Showcase Pay Per View’s Most Popular Live Events in High Definition
Los Angeles, California, December 4, 2008 - TVN Entertainment Corp., the world’s largest television on demand company, today announced the launch of Event TV HD. The new service will showcase Pay Per View’s most popular live events in high definition including boxing, mixed martial arts, and wrestling from top providers like HBO, Showtime, UFC, and WWE. Event TV HD is expected to offer 3-4 live events monthly, plus event replays and will broadcast in 1080i, 1920x1080 resolution as well as Dolby digital stereo or 5.1 audio.
Event TV HD debuts this Saturday with the live broadcast of HBO’s Oscar de la Hoya - Manny Pacquiao fight. The preshow will begin at 8:30pm (ET) / 5:30pm (PT) and the fight is scheduled to start at 9:00pm (ET) / 6:00pm (PT).
