Programmers Turn To TVN Entertainment For Interactive VOD Services
Worlds Largest On-Demand Company Reaches Agreement with Three Programmers to Provide Comprehensive On-Demand Services
Burbank, California - March 3, 2008 - TVN Entertainment Corp., the world’s largest television on demand company, today announced that it has reached multi-year agreements with three programmers – Gospel Music Channel, ExpoTV, and The Sportsman Channel – for a comprehensive range of video on-demand (VOD) services.
TVN will provide a complete ensemble of on-demand services including encoding, distribution, marketing support, and asset management via the Emmy-nominated system, ADONISS 2. “TVN is making VOD a more dynamic and interactive platform,” said Charles Humbard, founder and president, Gospel Music Channel. “iPRI and TVNow provides the control, visibility, and flexibility to respond to marketplace requirements and consumer feedback. We are active programmers in VOD thanks to TVN.”
“These partners represent the kind of programmers who are adept at serving their target audiences,” said Jim Riley, executive vice president of TVN Entertainment. “They are leveraging VOD to build their brands in television and utilizing iPRI and TVNow to super-serve their viewers.”
