Launch of New On-Demand Channel Delivers Compelling, Real-Life Clips of Everyday People "Caught on Camera"
Burbank, California, March 28, 2007 - The wildly popular video coverage of heart-stopping police chases, extreme car crashes, and convenience store robberies has led to the launch today of Caught On Demand, the seventh new video-on-demand (VOD) channel launched by TVN Entertainment Corp., the leading television on-demand company. Caught On Demand launches with over two and one half million subscribers via 15 affiliates, including WOW! Internet, Cable and Phone, and Blue Ridge Communications.
Caught On Demand’s exclusive 24/7 VOD programming features unscripted, real-life video gathered from security and surveillance cameras, police cruiser cameras, and personal cell phones. The hosted programs, which are 5-7 minutes long and consist of 3-6 segments, are themed according to content such as “Unbelievable Chases,” “Amazing Crashes” and “Dumbest Criminals.” The “crash/slash” content category has shown great appeal, especially to young and affluent audiences.
